"You helped us see things in a different way."
"My perspective is mine, and his is his, neither is right or wrong."
"Thank you for helping me find my own answers and solutions."
"I've never seen things in exactly that manner before, hmm, it makes me reconsider."
As a therapist, I do not have all of the answers to people's problems. I see my role as a helper, guide and conduit to connect people with their own insight and gut which holds the answers and solutions to their problems.
I use strategies to assist in bringing issues to clients' awareness so that they might make their own best decisions for optimal health and well being.
In a safe, secure and warm environment I create a space for clients to show their vulnerability, to share thoughts and feelings without judgement and to allow the client to explore new ways of being in the world.
A therapist's office is merely a microcosm of the world where a person can truly let down, be honest and genuine with themself and a trusted other, a place to recreate oneself in a new and wonderful image.
Therapy breeds growth.
