Heat Leads to Anger in Relationships

7/7/2016

Anger is a powerful emotion. The weather can have a strong impact on irritability which can negatively impact relationships.

When you're hot or uncomfortable do you find yourself more frustrated and irritated?

If anger  isn’t handled appropriately, it may have destructive results for you and those closest to you.

Uncontrolled anger can lead to arguments, physical fights, physical abuse, assault and self-harm. On the other hand, well-managed anger can be a useful emotion that motivates you to make positive changes.

Awareness of one's own emotions can aid in healthy responses with a significant other. Monitor your emotions and notice how you might use your emotional state as a thermometer towards a closer more intimate relationship with your significant other.

Don't be a "firecracker."
