A dear friend reminded me today that I had mentioned to her that
"Forgiveness is a process."
What resentments are you holding which contribute to a life without peace?
How often do you find yourself rationalizing the fact that the resentment you are holding is justified?
Have you heard the saying, "holding a resentment is like drinking poison expecting the other person to die?"
Perhaps you might consider looking at the resentments which keep you captive and work toward forgiving yourself and the other for our human condition of imperfection.
Forgiveness may not happen overnight yet if we work to forgive we might find a sense of relief and fulfillment.
